Student leadership
All students are encouraged to take initiative and develop responsibilities at our school and within the community at large. They are also provided with many opportunities for meaningful involvement to participate in leadership programs across all year levels.
Student Leadership Executive
The Student Representative Council (SRC)
Arana, Bukari, Camira and Duwari
We have 8 House Leaders, one female and one male for each House Team.
Peer Support
This program allows for leadership experience for Year 10 students who mentor Year 7 students.
Student Leadership Pathway
In 2024, the Leadership by the Bay Student Leadership Pathway was established, with sensational results.
Year 7 students that completed 'Leadership by the Bay' (LBTB) achieved immediate enrolment into WHS SRC.
The students that accepted their positions in our SRC have flourished and are active participants in our student leadership team. This program is continued each year and we continue to develop strong and dedicated young leaders.
External Programs
Our students have been successful in gaining recognition in external Leadership programs, such as 'Secretary for a Day' and 'Zonta Young Woman in Public Affairs'.
