Community involvement
Our school values strong partnerships with our families and community. Parents and carers can get involved through our Parents and Citizens Association (P&C) or our WHS Auxiliary.
Your time and support help make our school a better place for everyone.
Parents and Citizens Association (P&C)
Our P&C is a group of parents, carers and school community members. They assist with school planning, fundraising, events and volunteering. Our P&C works in partnership with our school to promote the interests of our school community.
Joining the P&C a great way to meet other families, get involved and contribute to our school's future. We would love to have you on board!
We invite you to join this association which meets once a term (on Wednesday in Week 5). The meetings are held in the School Library ('E' Block), commencing at 6:30 pm.
The P&C is proud to have contributed to many Woolooware High School initiatives over the years including:
- Procuring interactive whiteboards for classrooms
- Refurbishing areas in the library
- Welcome to Year 7 initiatives
Woolooware High School Auxiliary
The WHS Auxiliary meets once a term (on Tuesday in Week 5) at 9:30 am in the School Common Room (‘A' Block). All parents/carers are cordially invited to join this group – you will be made most welcome. Social functions are organised by the Auxiliary, the proceeds of which are used to purchase items for the school.
Your attendance at these meetings gives you the opportunity to meet other parents and members of the community, as well as gaining an understanding of the aims and goals of secondary education. School policy is outlined and reports on school activities are presented by the principal and members of staff. Your support of the P&C Association and the WHS Auxiliary, ensures that you are kept aware of school activities, functions and student achievements.
Woolooware Auxiliary manages the second-hand uniform shop, which usually operates each Tuesday from 8:45 to 9:45 am (times are approximate – it is useful to call the school before visiting) in the Multi Purpose Hall. It also operates on special days like the Year 7 Orientation Day.
