Woolooware offers an extensive extracurricular Music Program which complements and extends students’ studies in Music.
The Band Program includes an intermediate, senior and jazz band as well as a guitar ensemble and choir. The bands perform regularly at school and community events such as the National Flag Raising Ceremony at Martin Place and the ANZAC Day March in the city.
In recent years our Concert Band, Stage Band, Choir and Dance ensembles have toured to Queensland, the USA and Japan. The ensembles performed at Universal Studios and Disneyland in Los Angeles and have participated in school exchange workshops overseas.
The normal rehearsal times for the ensembles are as follows:

Guitar | Wednesday 3:15–4:45 pm |
Intermediate Band | Wednesday 3:30–5 pm |
Senior Band | Wednesday 5:30–7 pm |

Music Night
In June and November each year we have our Music Night which showcases the many talents of the students in the Performing Arts. Musicals are sometimes held in the place of Music Night. These events are held in the school’s Multi-Purpose Hall. The dates for these can be found on the school calendar.
Travel and performance restrictions surrounding the pandemic in 2020 meant that we were unable to hold a live community performance. Instead, we held a ‘Virtual Performing Arts event’. Click here to view the scope of our program and gain an insight into the talents of our Performing Arts students.
