Inclusive Education

The Inclusive Education faculty at Woolooware High School is dedicated to ensuring that all students receive the support and resources necessary to thrive in their education.

Our team works closely with students, teachers, and families to create inclusive learning environments that foster academic, social, and emotional growth. We provide tailored support through individual education plans, curriculum adjustments, and specialised interventions, ensuring equitable access to learning. With a focus on collaboration, we implement best practices in differentiation and inclusive teaching strategies to empower students and promote success in all aspects of school life.

Students enrolled in the Inclusive Education Unit typically undertake a life skills pattern of study which includes learning all core curriculum subjects and the opportunity to participate in elective subjects on the same basis as their year cohort.

Once a week, students attend Community Access excursions where they can develop the skills and confidence to participate in everyday community life. Our program focuses on enhancing independence, social skills, and real-world experiences by engaging students in activities such as using public transport, shopping, visiting libraries, recreational centers, or workplaces.
